PUNT I FINAL. ACTIVITAT 6

Bé, per fi hem arribat al darrer punt del curs. Ha estat molt interessant i crec de veritat que quan tinguem temps d'assimilar els coneixements, i tenguem temps per aplicar de facto el que hem après, ens haurà estat molt profitós. Ara com ara, cal dir, com per altra banda han comentat alguns altres alumnes, que en certs moments la tasca ha estat molt enutjosa i fins i tot al punt d' "embossar", per la manca de temps, en la majoria de casos i no pas per la dificultat de la tasca. També el volum de treball ha estat moltíssim més alt que no el de la majoria de cursets presencials.

Sigui com sigui, i deixant de banda aquests detalls, ha estat un curs molt profitós. Hem pogut veure la vessant més educativa d'eines del dia a dia com pot ser youtube, o una simple cerca d'imatges a Google. També hem vist i descobert com utilitats com el Wordle o el Glogster poden ser molt útils no només de cara a plantejar activitats als alumnes, sinó que també per a nosaltres mateixos si volem fer les nostres lliçons més atractives, interactives i properes a l'alumne. La veritat és que totes aquestes eines són molt fàcils de fer servir, pràctiques i si disposam d'un entorn digital dins l'aula, definitivament imprescindibles.

També ha estat molt interessant i gratificant el resultat del wiki conjunt ja que hem après a crear en temps rècord un lloc web on recopilam moltíssima informació, i que podem modelar a gust. Aquest darrer fet facilita molt la feina, ja que de cara a l'alumnat podem preparar wikis sobre algun tema dels que tractem a classe, i fins i tot els podem fer a ells preparar-ne un, de manera que treballin no només continguts, també el treball col·laboratiu i de recerca, que tant falla i que les competències bàsiques tracten de cobrir. Realment la xarxa ens està oferint una gran quantitat d'eines que si les aprofitam, milloraran molt la nostra vida dins les aules, i també ajudarà a estimular l'interès i la creativitat d'uns alumnes que cada vegada ens venen més desmotivats i amb més mancances en quant a iniciativa pròpia i capacitat de treball en equip. En certa manera, i sobretot per aquells professors que siguin anteriors als inicis de l'era digital, aquestes eines els apropen un poc més als alumnes, a la seva nova manera d'entendre la informació, d'accedir a ella i  de processar-la, que dista molt dels antics models d'ensenyament del professor com a font única d'informació.

Pel que fa al Blog mateix, crec que ha estat una forma molt encertada de mantenir tots els exercicis i els continguts junts de manera que en tot moment tots hem tingut en un lloc concret totes les activitats juntes, a la vista, i hem pogut seguir l'evolució de les activitats, veient com estaven totes en certa manera connectades. Crec que d'altra manera, no hauríem arribat a veure el potencial conjunt de totes aquestes eines que hem fet servir, i que no en tindríem una visió de conjunt com tenim ara.

Finalment dir que ha estat un plaer compartir aquestes setmanes amb tots els altres professors, i en especial amb els de l'equip del wiki, i que esper que a tots ens vagi molt bé i que ben aviat introduim de bon de veres tot el que hem après aquí.

Glogster about Catalan

This would be the kind of result expected from the students. Students could talk about their own mother tongue in English, so this way we can work both english and some cultural background about Catalan. The students would be expected to find some general information about the language (varieties, physical areas where it is spoken, number of speakers...), together with maps, flags, and examples of the diferent varieties, so this way the raw data would be supported by audio and video elements, which enrich and make all the information more atractive for them.

In addition, this activity would require the coordination of work, fostering work-group.
This way they learn how to work in differnt groups, to distribute work and put it together, not only as a puzzle but trully processing and understanding the information they have been recearching. the final result should include.

La tasca ha estat molt gratificant. Tot i la dificultat que aparentment tenia l'activitat d'entrada, després ha estat molt facil coordinar-nos i ajuntar un trencaclosques que ha quedat molt ben equilibrat i les parts ben integrades entre sí, gràcies a l'esforç de comunicació que hem fet i gràcies al nostre coordinador. Afortunadament, la xarxa també ens ha oferit informació ràpida que ens ha permès fer relativament molta via per trobar la informació que incloure en el Wiki.
Quant a la meva part, les conclusions eren força lògiques i entre tots hem pogut fer unes conclusions globals en general, i un petit resum del que és tot el nostre wiki.

Crec que aquesta eina ens pot arribar a ser molt útil com a professors, tant si som professors amb molta experiència, ja que permet de reciclar-se, com pels docents nous, que ja en el nostre moment hem trobat a faltar aquestes formes innovadores.

Debate: Music and Technology (3rd ESO) Exercici 3

As you remember from the previous post, you were expected to give some opinion on the situation of music online and the lagality of sharing files. After receiving feedback on it, and getting some ideas in common, now its time for you to  do some debate on the matter.

Next day in class you will sit all in a circule and discuss, with the moderation of the teacher (that is, me) about what are your behaviour and costume in the use of internet, about what you think about sharing files online such as films, music, and why some of you consider it right to share them even if it goes agains the author's rights.

Since we are a small group, you are expected to participate at least once during the debate. The timing will depend on your comments and in any case it should be no shorter than 20 minutes. The moderator will contribute questions or comments to foster the conversation.

I hope you will come prepeared and ready to share your views. Go on! :)

Introducing Myself in a VIDEO. [FIRST OF ESO] - activitat 3

After a couple of months studying new English things, it is time to revise a bit. If you remember the first units, we learnt how to introduce ourselves and how to talk about the things we like doing, hobbies, countries we would like to visit, etc. Well, now it's time We bring it to practice ant to real life.
You should prepear a short summary in which you will include:

-NAME, age, town where you live and where in the town.
-Members of your family who live with you (brothers, sisters, parents, grandparents...)


After we revise your texts in class, if you  are brave, we will make a video where you explain all these things. Of course those who are brave enough to appear in the video will get extra points.

Come on, this will be fun!

3rd ESO - Writing activity for the exam (Unit 4)

As you know, this mounth we have been studying a unit related to  money, rich people and charity. We tend to read lots of texts but we rarely stop to analise in depth the main ideas and elements of the text. Well, now its time for it. You must visit the following site here and with the tool bubbl.us you must create a map of ideas of the text. You can find an example of how it should be in the blog in prova 2. When you finish, you must publish a COMMENT your map of ideas in this blog as an ANONYMOUS user.
