La tasca ha estat molt gratificant. Tot i la dificultat que aparentment tenia l'activitat d'entrada, després ha estat molt facil coordinar-nos i ajuntar un trencaclosques que ha quedat molt ben equilibrat i les parts ben integrades entre sí, gràcies a l'esforç de comunicació que hem fet i gràcies al nostre coordinador. Afortunadament, la xarxa també ens ha oferit informació ràpida que ens ha permès fer relativament molta via per trobar la informació que incloure en el Wiki.
Quant a la meva part, les conclusions eren força lògiques i entre tots hem pogut fer unes conclusions globals en general, i un petit resum del que és tot el nostre wiki.

Crec que aquesta eina ens pot arribar a ser molt útil com a professors, tant si som professors amb molta experiència, ja que permet de reciclar-se, com pels docents nous, que ja en el nostre moment hem trobat a faltar aquestes formes innovadores.

Debate: Music and Technology (3rd ESO) Exercici 3

As you remember from the previous post, you were expected to give some opinion on the situation of music online and the lagality of sharing files. After receiving feedback on it, and getting some ideas in common, now its time for you to  do some debate on the matter.

Next day in class you will sit all in a circule and discuss, with the moderation of the teacher (that is, me) about what are your behaviour and costume in the use of internet, about what you think about sharing files online such as films, music, and why some of you consider it right to share them even if it goes agains the author's rights.

Since we are a small group, you are expected to participate at least once during the debate. The timing will depend on your comments and in any case it should be no shorter than 20 minutes. The moderator will contribute questions or comments to foster the conversation.

I hope you will come prepeared and ready to share your views. Go on! :)

Introducing Myself in a VIDEO. [FIRST OF ESO] - activitat 3

After a couple of months studying new English things, it is time to revise a bit. If you remember the first units, we learnt how to introduce ourselves and how to talk about the things we like doing, hobbies, countries we would like to visit, etc. Well, now it's time We bring it to practice ant to real life.
You should prepear a short summary in which you will include:

-NAME, age, town where you live and where in the town.
-Members of your family who live with you (brothers, sisters, parents, grandparents...)


After we revise your texts in class, if you  are brave, we will make a video where you explain all these things. Of course those who are brave enough to appear in the video will get extra points.

Come on, this will be fun!

3rd ESO - Writing activity for the exam (Unit 4)

QUESTION: Is it right to share files even when it is illegal? If your answer is yes, Is there any particular reason you could find to support this idea?

ONLINE ACTIVITY -4th ESO - ACTIVITAT 2 BUBBL.US

As you know, this mounth we have been studying a unit related to  money, rich people and charity. We tend to read lots of texts but we rarely stop to analise in depth the main ideas and elements of the text. Well, now its time for it. You must visit the following site here and with the tool bubbl.us you must create a map of ideas of the text. You can find an example of how it should be in the blog in prova 2. When you finish, you must publish a COMMENT your map of ideas in this blog as an ANONYMOUS user.

ACTIVITAT 2 - WORDLE

 
This activity is conceved to mix a traditional tool used in ELT with new technologies. The student, who is studying at the moment a unit related to natural fenomena, will be presented with an online activity. With the text of a song with gaps in it (the traditional FIll-in the-gaps listening)  the student will find a videoclip on youtube (Katy Perry - Firework), and fill in the spaces in the text. Afterwards, and once the activity is corrected via BLOG - CLASS, they will be required to create a WORDLE with the words they had to guess.

After some reflexion, the students are expected to reach teh conclsion that the words belong to the semantic field of NATURE, or NATURAL FENOMENA. This name (of the semantic field) should be included in the WORDL.
